Backyard Getaway has seen some changes over the last couple of years. We recently were given an amazing oppourtunity to move our home & business to a 5.5 acre property in Myakka City, Florida. This was not something we had planned to do, we had lived in the same house in Bradenton for 21 years and closed the retail store front in 2009 to concentrate on the service & online business... but, this was something we couldn't pass up. The "new" property was home to Majical Miniatures, an animal rescue organization that rescues exotic & farm animals. Majical Miniatures moved to a larger property in Parrish & this property sat empty for almost two years. Ariyana, one of the owners of Majical Miniatures, and I were talking one day about how some day Dave would like to live in the country again. Next thing I know we are packing up & moving out east! I've lived in the city my entire life so this is new adventure for me! We wanted to share with you our progress in restoring the property to it's original beautiful state along with a few added Backyard Getaway touches. Check back often for updated pictures!
